Catscratch Fever
Country/Folk
-
Informed by country and folk music of the early twentieth century, Arkadi and Aurielle carry audiences back in time. Paying tribute to artists like Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, Hank Williams and Lefty Frizzell, they bring their own spin to time honoured classics. The songs they write break moulds and transcend genres, weaving elements of folk, country, and swing. Their music explores motifs of love, sadness, and desire - all deeply rooted to nature and the environment. Nostalgic, haunting, toe tapping, and ethereal are a few ways their music is described.

Wrenni

Influenced by a wide variety of genres, Wrenni blends elements of folk, rock, pop, funk, blues, and jazz into her music. Her lyrics are fearless and emotionally deep, drawing from her experiences with discrimination. Wrenni is carving a unique space in the indie pop scene.

Emily is a multidisciplinary artist, practicing visual art, dance, clown and music. Her love of music has always been the drive in all of her creative works. As a self taught singer and music maker Emily leans into her clown to face her fears of performing for live audiences. She loves singing along to all her favourite classic country and western singers such as Patsy and Gene and Marty! She is always seeking new ways of self expression which most recently involves creating her own songs. Emily draws from a constant source of inspiration from all of the various dance, art and music communities she finds in her travels.

Malakai’s songwriting weaves heartfelt melancholy with warmth and honesty. Alongside original material, he performs thoughtfully re-imagined covers, turning each song into his own. Onstage, Malakai’s natural charisma and engaging banter create a striking contrast to the emotional depth of his music, making his live performances very memorable. “Malakai is a remarkable musician, songwriter and performer.
