About the Festival:

The Route 19A Arts Festival is a 16-day celebration of Island arts, set against the scenic backdrop of Route 19A (Island Highway W.) from Dashwood to Union Bay, on Vancouver Island.  This annual event unites artists, musicians, performers, and audiences from across the region. Affiliated with the Lighthouse Community Centre, the festival offers a vibrant showcase of talent and creates a memorable experience for all who attend.

The Route 19A Arts Festival is a Lighthouse Community Centre Program and operates as a volunteer run Non Profit Society

We can issue tax receipts for donations over $20.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

2025 Festival Highlights:

  • Juried Fine Art Exhibition: Sept 13-14, 2025, featuring 22 artists at the Lighthouse Community Centre.

  • Performing Arts Shows: Sept 15-26, 2025, hosted in a variety of venues along Route 19A, ranging from intimate 20 seat rooms to dance floors for 250 people.

  • Open Studio Tour: Final weekend (Sept 27-28, 2025), showcasing 30+ private art studios from Dashwood to Union Bay.

The Route 19A Arts Festival Booklet will be printed after June 15, 2025, once all details for the 22 exhibiting artists, 12 performance evenings, and 30+ artist studios on the tour are finalized. Sponsor recognition will be included in the booklet, but sponsors will also be acknowledged on the website and social media as soon as they sign up and their funds are received.
