The festival is promoted through print and digital media, including posters, brochures, social media, and local press coverage.

Yes! We welcome volunteers and sponsors.

Fine Art Exhibition Artists

​What is the format of the juried fine art exhibition?
The juried fine art exhibition will feature 22 artists at the Lighthouse Community Centre, September 13th & 14th, 2025. Artists will have a dedicated display booth space to showcase their work.  The booths will be 10' x 10' and will include a black curtain 'pipe & drape' back-drop. Tables (6'& 8') and chairs available on request. Accepted artists will need to supply, set up and take down all materials necessary to display their work and are required to be present or have a representative with their booth for the full exhibition dates & times.

How do I apply to participate?

Call for artists will open on Mar 15 and close at midnight on June 15  

Application forms will be found on the Exhibition page

We can write to remind you of the opening after March 15.

How are the artists selected?

Selection for the juried exhibition is based on artistic quality, originality, and alignment with the festival's theme and standards. A panel of experienced jurors will review all submissions.

​

IMPORTANT DATES for the Fine Art Exhibition:

  • AUG 18, 2;30  Meet and Greet, Lighthouse Community Hall 240 lions Way Qualicum Bay. (To pick up the brochures and ask questions)

  • SEP 12  6-9 set up.

  • SEP 13th and 14th, 2025 10 am-4 pm

  • SEP 14th 4-6 take down

Can I sell my artwork at the exhibition?
Yes, sales are encouraged. Artists will handle their own transactions, and no commission will be taken by the festival.

Music Concert

What types of performances are you looking for?
We welcome a variety of performances, including music, dance, theater, spoken word, and more. Performances should be suitable for small venues with audiences of 20-60 people or for the larger showcase event for 250 people.

​

What venues are available for performances?
Performances will take place in community halls and small venues along Highway 19a between Dashwood and Union Bay. The larger showcase performances will be held at the Lighthouse Community Centre

​

What equipment is provided at the venues?
Basic sound and lighting equipment will be provided. Performers should include any additional technical requirements in their application.

​

Are performers paid?
Yes.  Payment details will be finalized upon selection.

​

Can I perform multiple times during the festival?
Yes, performers can apply to perform at multiple venues or events. Scheduling will depend on availability and program balance.

Performance Artists

Artist Studio Tour Artists

What are the requirements for the Open Studio Tour?
Artists participating in the Open Studio Tour must have a private art studio located within the Dashwood to Union Bay region along or near Route 19a (Island Hwy W.) Studios must be open to the public during the final weekend of the festival (September 27-28, 2025).

Will promotional materials be provided for the Open Studio Tour?

Yes, the festival will provide a printed map, signage, and digital promotion for participating studios.

​

Can I participate in both the exhibition and the Open Studio Tour?
Absolutely! Artists are welcome to participate in both events if they meet the criteria for each.

​

How do I apply to participate?
